- Anniversary
We have several reasons to celebrate: SCIARA GmbH was founded one year ago. A lot has happened since then – we have developed a first demonstrator, are conducting our first experiments with it and have meanwhile aroused the interest of politics and business. Therefore, we have decided to look back at the past 365 days for you:
- Funding
The Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (The German Federal Environmental Foundation) has approved our funding application. We submitted it together with PIK and ETH Zurich. This means that the development of the SCIARA app can proceed.
We are currently focusing on expanding the user’s options for action and improving the visualisation of climate impacts. With this, we want to develop a functional app by the beginning of next year, with which we can deliver science-relevant results.
3. Development status
In June, a chat function was finally added to the SCIARA app. We have successfully tested it in our simulations and could already observe a lively exchange.
In addition, a further function is available: The user’s own heating mode can now be set in the simulation. The user thus has the option of entering his energy demand realistically or having it estimated. The type of heating can also be selected.
